Kolade Akiyode is an urban researcher and practitioner. He teaches
on the Masters in Urban Design at the Welsh School of Architecture, and has
worked as an architect and urban designer in both Nigeria and the UK. ‘Kolade
holds a PhD in City and Regional Planning, and his research interests include
urban design and spatial analysis, urban mobility, self-organised spatial
systems, temporary urbanism, and spatial governance. He has collaborated with
many municipal governments, non-governmental organisations, and charities on
designing inclusive urban intervention frameworks and strategies.
